Scholarships
The 2024 Black M.D. Scholarship Program application is closed.

We are offering up to four* $500 MCAT scholarships for University of Texas at Austin students or recent graduates who will be taking the MCAT in 2024 or 2025. This scholarship is intended to offset the cost of MCAT preparation resources or MCAT registration.
*The number of awards given is subject to change based on the quality of our applicant pool.
*We will not be offering any Textbook Scholarships for high school seniors this year.
Applicants will be reviewed holistically. Academic excellence, leadership, service, and financial need will all be considered. Our definition of financial need is broad. Decisions will be released before May 15th, 2024.
Eligibility Requirements:
1) Applicants must be of African heritage (Black, African, African-American, Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Latino, etc).
2) Applicants for the MCAT Scholarship must be a current student or alum of the University of Texas at Austin and planning to take their MCAT by September 2025.
3) Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to pursuing a career as a physician. No consideration will be given for other health professions.
4) Applicants must complete this form by the deadline and submit all required documentation (resume, transcript, SAR, acceptance letter, headshot). No exceptions will be made for incomplete or late applications.
5) Applicants must not falsify any information listed on their application.

Mentorship
Our Scholars receive one-on-one mentorship throughout their academic careers. Our goal is to ensure matriculation into medical school and successful graduation. Any interested student, regardless of race/ethnicity or academic status, is welcome to reach out to us for mentorship. We are available to answer your questions about college, being a pre-medical student, and the medical school admissions process.
